Here  are some of the case studies that we have articulated to put forward the power of social media optimization:

1.)    Hubspot: We all have heard about Hubspot, and when we are searching for information about marketing related blogs then we never ignore a Hubspot link. It shows that how credible Hubspot is among its users. The reason for their immense popularity comes from the fact that they have a commendable content creation strategy.

They always post content about the hot and trending topics, and all their articles come with an experience level tag. Not just this the users can listen to their posts through a service called vocalize. Isn’t it amazing?

Personal level connection: Customer do not want to connect with a brand; instead, they want to communicate with people. HubSpot knows this well, and they make use of their Facebook profile to make a personal level connection.  They keep posting details about their employees with a photograph and brief introduction about them.

Major takeaway:

•    Post good content.

•    Build a personal connection with the users

•    Understand what customers are looking for

•    Cash on the trending topics.

2.)    Red Bull

About the brand:  Red Bull is a famous energy drink available across 170 countries ruling the market since 1987.

Goal: So, recently they started a campaign on Instagram to build brand awareness about their new flavor “Summer edition" for the Australian market.

Solution:   They started with their promotional teaser just before the summer hit. To attract the audience to their new look of the can designs, they infused yellow filters that were analogous to summer heat. They were twice likely to be associated with the popular #thissummer hashtag trend.

Result:

•    They were able to reach to an audience of 1.2m.

•    0-point lift in top-of-mind awareness

•    9-point lift in favorability

•    A 7-point drop in the unconvinced market

Takeaway: If you know how consumer use and react to the social media platforms then you can leverage it to the maximum benefits. Instagram is an incredible source for driving user engagement, and a good campaign can make all the difference. Red Bull used the same strategy and made use of the #thissummer hashtag at the perfect time.

3.)    Casper

About the brand: It is a direct to consumer mattress selling company. It is quite awkward to think that how a mattress selling company is so popular on the social media platform. But, interestingly Casper infuses humor into their marketing strategies while being authentic and reasonable at the same time.

Goal: Create your brand voice

Solution:  Being funny is not a very powerful marketing strategy, but Casper has pulled it off quite well. Their posts are focused on what their product is good for that is– sleep. If they have always focused on how to choose a good mattress or how a good mattress is vital for a good night sleep, then it won’t be at all appealing. But, they associate themselves to “sleep” to which a wide range of audience can connect to.

Result: They have created a cult with their quirky comments and funny posts.  It has resulted in an increased number of followers even though nobody buys a mattress all around the year.

Takeaway:

•    Establish a unique strategy for your brand that is evergreen and interesting.

•    Share content on all your social media platform.

•    Post daily.
