Linking or link building refers to the technique of linking website pages with external pages. These links are one of the factors in determining the rank of the website. Links are classified into 3 categories-
a) Internal Links: - The links present within the site, interlinking web pages together are called internal links. A well structure and style helps the search engine to crawl the site and determine the priority of the pages.
b) Outgoing links: - The link present on your website pointing to other web page is outgoing links. E.g. social networking account links present on the site.
c) Incoming links: - The links coming from other domain to your website are incoming links. The links coming from sites with higher page rank helps in boosting the page rank as they show the search engine the importance of your website.
Note: - External links must open in new page. The website must not contain any broken links.
