Components of a website

A website comprises several components, and each component adds a new dimension to the site. There are dedicated set of professionals responsible for each stage of development and designing. Front-end developers take care of the visual components of the websites and backend developers are responsible for how the website is handled from the back end. Here is the list of the website components:

1.    Front-end elements: The front end elements are the ones that are visible to the user. You navigate through the website with the help of these elements. If the navigation is not smooth, then it will result in an increased bounce rate and less traffic. A site should have an easy navigation screen to ensure that the users do not have any issues.

2.    Web hosting: As it is known that a website enables the exchange of information. The information is either displayed to the user or is provided by the users, either way, this information stored in a set of files and folders. This complete package is known as the back end and to be able to make it accessible for everyone web hosting is needed. A trusted and good hosting is necessary so that your website never suffers from downtime and the bounce rates. Good hosting is accountable for the website performance and its smooth functioning.

3.    Call-to-actions: Most of the businesses own a website to attract leads and convert them to customers. To make it happen you need to include CTA buttons wherever possible. It is an essential component if your website’s primary goal is to attract customers and then urge them to make the desired action. The key to a CTA button is that it should be an easy call like “Sign up for free” or “Call us now” types.

4.    Headline: Statistics shows that users do not spend more than 3 seconds on a website. So, if you want to make them stay you need to add attractive headers or add something that leaves a psychological effect on them. It can either be a catchy headline content or an impressive photo. Make sure to make your headline “speak more with less words”.

5.    Mobile friendly or responsive design: The websites today should be responsive so that it fits on all the possible digital platforms. The users today do not always surf sites on the desktop, so it becomes vital that the website is responsive and fits on all screen whether a tablet or a mobile phone.

6.    Content: Content is another essential part of any site. Content marketing today is at its peak and you need to focus equally well on what your website is offering. The content should always be worthwhile and should add value to the readers. It also plays a vital role in the ranking of websites on search engines. Good quality and relevant content websites always rank higher than other low quality ones.

7.    Visuals: A site has several images and logos which enhances the visual appeal. An aesthetically pleasing website will always be a hit among the users. It is not a bad idea to invest in decent graphics and visuals as it is the first thing that the users come across when they visit your site.
